Is Dad Remembering His Pills? Dad needs an Electronic pill box with alarm and timer. First, Dad takes his prescription medications at 8:30 Am & 9:30 PM. Before, he using an old fashion pillbox. We set it up for every 7 days (1 week). However, he is at a point that he keeps forgetting. For example, Dad was taking 3 or 4 days at a time. Again, we tried by putting a AM pill in morning and put PM pill later that night.
To sum up, when we left the PM in daily pill box he will take all of them. Finally, Dad started to accuse me of not giving him the right medications. Needless to say, this was frustrating and dangerous.

The visiting nurse brought Mom a Med-Q Electronic pill box with alarm and timer. The fancy automated medication reminder will flashes and beep at med time. My sister had been noticing that pills were still in her old pill box that should have been taken. Mom said, “I was mixing up the days of the week”. Finally, we were able to straightened out the problem. Mom is able to take the pills from the Med-Q. She know to take the flashing box when the Med-Q is beeping.
